Growing the Faith

Many people, after a time, feel the need to know more about the faith which we share and seek to develop their spirituality by study or fellowship. At our church we try to facilitate this by providing various opportunities.

Holy Habits:- This book, written by our former minister Andrew Roberts has been the focus of study for the Worship Leaders and Training Group and was the focus for the whole church from September 2017 to September 2018.

From September 2018 to September 2019 we celebrated 80 years of 'making disciples'

From September 21019 we are asking the question 'Who am I' and 'searching for meaning'

Prayer Group:-For those who wish to meet for prayer, as a practical application of their faith, or because they have something which concerns them and which they wish to be prayed for, can come along to church every Wednesday evening when a group meet specifically for this purpose.

Bible study is organised by St. Mary's church for members of both congregations, meetings are held in members' houses.

Worship Leaders and preachers Fellowship:- The church has four Local preachers and six worship leaders. Along with the minister they meet once per month for study in order to develop their understanding and share their faith and preaching experiences. They annually evaluate each others services.

Lenten Study Series: Each year there is a focused study during Lent and these events are organised by 'churches together in Sprotbrough'.

Training:- Recently members have undertaken training on 'Creating Safer Space' and the church recently ran the course 'Talking of God'.

Other Events: Please read the notices for other events either organized by our church or in conjunction with 'churches together in Sprotbrough'. Again these are usually to be found on the current events page.
